Monday December 21, 2009 ( Day 71)
Checked today (C4490) - good news and bad news; I passed all of the HARD stuff, but failed a few mini things during aerial maneuvers so I got a nice big "U" - unsat. (I can do a loop and aileron roll to a skill of EXCELLENT, but some UNSAT my power on/ELP stalls. Hmmmm)
ON HOLD - (not flying status)
1.3 hour flight (25.6 hours total T-6 flying time)
86 Total landings
Tuesday December 22, 2009 (Day 72)
Had an eye exam to make sure I'm not blind (standard for everyone who hooks a check ride). 20/17 unofficially. Then did my PROGRESS CHECK (C4488), also known as an "88" ride - to review everything I jacked up on the check ride. It was funny because everyone else who hooked yesterday could NOT fly today because of the low clouds around base, but me, however, who just needed to go over minor procedures up in the area, COULD fly! I PASSED the ride, and was pretty much told that I never should have been in this position in the first place (meaning I didn't focus enough on the little things (procedures) that ended up to hooking me in the end). But hey, at least I can do ADVANCED aerobatics, just gotta go by the BOOK for the next check ride.
RESUME NORMAL FLYING STATUS
1.0 hour flight (26.6 hours total T-6 flying time)
87 Total landings

E-Man - Nice rebound on your Progress Check. Sure there's a reason for all the procedures - and your safety! Pops =)
ReplyDeleteI think we enjoyed all of the vaca time.
ReplyDeleteIt was so wonderful to spend time together, harbor that happiness and bring it to the flight line/sim.
You the man, E-man. You are the strongest person I know. Fly High!
