Back to Back Instruments Simulators! With the pre-sim brief, the actual 1.3 hour sim, and the post brief, the sim takes a total of about 3 hours. Having back to back sims with a 20 minute break means 6 hours of pure instrument flying! YOWWW! Earning the paycheck today!!!
"Instrument" flying describes flying in the air with NO outside references! For example, flying through heavy fog, or massive clouds, where looking outside for the real horizon to see if you are level/climbing/descending/turn, etc. Its different, because you're just buried down inside the cockpit instruments and constantly cross checking all of them! AHH!

Thought today was going to be an easy NO day, but got scheduled for another Instrument sim early in the morning. DOHH!! My brain is all mushy from instrument flying!
