Monday October 05, 2009 (Day 20)
Getting Talked to by the "big boss" aka Wing Commander, and Operations Group Commander, and then Inspector General, then beginning academics with "Flying Fundamentals" Part 1.
Tuesday October 06, 2009 (Day 21)
A whole day of more flying fundamentals as well as a simulator ride, or "sim ride" for the cool kid slang.
Wednesday October 07, 2009 (Day 22)
Sim Ride followed by taking the Flying Fundamentals EXAM! Passed 89% - phew that was close! =0 84.9% and below is failing!
Thursday October 08, 2009 (Day 23)
Another sim ride, then academics starting with "contact" - which is the first part of actual flying that I will be doing in the T-6 in about 2 WEEKS!!!!
Friday October 09, 2009 (Day 24)
OFF! No scheduled Operations! =)
Note: The T-6 flying syllabus is broken down into 4 major parts - 1)Contact, 2)Navigation, 3)Instruments, and finally 4)Formation.
Here is the cockpit of the T-6A Texan II. We pretty much learned this entire cockpit in about 1.5 weeks! I hope I was paying attention!

Here is a cartoon version of the cockpit. You can zoom in and see all the small details of the cockpit. On the sides are the battery bus circuit panel & throttle (LEFT side) and the generator bus circuit panel along with environmental systems gauges (RIGHT side). The middle is the main cockpit that has all the vital flight information needed for sustained flying operations.
